It’s a tricky question. And the answer depends on a couple things, like the size of your beds and how thick you lay it on.

We sell mulch by the CUBIC YARD. (One yard equals 13.5 mulch bags you would buy at the hardware store.) The old timers will tell you one cubic yard will cover about 100 SQUARE FEET to a depth of three inches. But rake it thinner and you’ll get more coverage, lay it on thicker and you’ll get less.
